We use them for dollars and spend them at Christmas time. How do other mums use their Flybuys points?

  • Save them up all year and spend on Xmas presents and food

  • I always collect flybuy points and I generally use it for cash whenever I think about it

  • When I reach $100 worth of points, I redeem them and use them for groceries. I need all the help I can get with groceries

  • We redeem as we get them

  • Initially we’d scour the newsletters for ‘specials’ on overnight stays or entry to theme type places but the specials haven’t been that crash hot of late so after buying a much needed new toaster I now convert to gift cards at Christmas and either use them myself for Christmas groceries or gift them.

  • Save for big advents like December-Jan , I have three children’s birthday, Christmas, back to school and plus other family birthdays. Overall trying to get points for a Kitchen aid mixer.

  • We save ours up and use them for petrol on holidays, Xmas gifts for the kids and if we are having a bad week use some for food shopping. This year I saved up over $400 worth donit was a great help.

  • I let my Fly Bys add up for one year than I use them for Christmas food as they add up so quickly and I seem to have at least $150.

  • I have a card, hubby has one and my mother has one, all to my account, I used them to get gifts, this year we got a bike for my son’s birthday (3year old) and a footy jumper for my daughter, last year a garmin activity tracker, we have also had printers and toasters, we like to leave some points in the bank just in case we need them for shopping

  • I have a Coles credit card and about a third of the time I use the “take $10 off this shop”. I’d rather have the savings straight away! I love having a credit card that makes my grocery shopping cheaper. I think there’s other benefits like free delivery if you purchase online but I’d rather select my shopping myself.

  • Same here, we do the same thing.

  • That’s pretty much it – we redeem for gift cards.

  • I usually cash them in as soon as I hit 2000 points and put the $10 towards a regular shop. It actually helps a lot, sometimes I am surprised how quickly my points add up when I activate all of the bonus offers.

  • yep I save them all up for Christmas – I also keep an eye out on bonus point deals – it definetly racks up the points!

  • I do a bit of saving then cash them in for vouchers at Kmart and Target, and a bit of getting wine/ other items through the year. It sort of depends how many points I rack up too.
