  • We have 3 and at 2 years old our kid is already helping with some chores for the pets

  • It’s a good idea to get the children involved in the care of a pet.

  • My husband takes care of it all because he wants to.

  • None yet, not until the kids are old enough to really help out with caring for them.

  • We have one dog, and my kids play with him, walk with us. But honestly he is our fur baby before we had kids, so we keep the responsibilitys and they help out when asked.

  • Yes we have dogs. Miss 3.5 helps me feed them, bath them and walk them

  • We have just moved in with my mother in law and we now have 2 dogs, 2 cats and a few fish. One dog and the fish are ours. My daughter loves too help her aunty feed the animals each night and we always take them for one very long walk on the weekend in saying that we have a massive backyard so its not like they don’t get any daily exercise.

  • We have a dog – and my son (3) feeds him every morning and is chief poop spotter when we are picking it up.

  • We have an almost 12 month old Kelpie. He’s so full of beans, hoping to get some chicks soon.

  • No not at the moment but l have had cats and dogs and they were such a joy!

  • We’ve got one Labrador Retriever. He’s 3 years old now and we took him when my daughter was 10.

  • We have 2 beautiful dogs. No, the kids don’t do much for them. The dogs and kids play together in the yard, but that’s about it

  • I would not recommend that
