Hello!

I’m trying to do a good spring clean of our cupboards and I was wondering how many towels everyone has per kid, it seems like we have too many but I’m just not sure how many is enough.

  • No matter how many we have, we rewash and use the same ones. Though old ones are great for gastro and spills

  • Beside 1 beach towel each, 2 towels per kid is enough in my opinion (1 in the wash, 1 in use).

  • We have about 4 per kid, plus beach towels. But that’s not scientific, just what we’ve wound up with.

  • Three of four per child should be sufficient if you do wash loads regularly.

  • I always have a cupboard full of towels, even though it’s just hubby and myself and we don’t use anywhere near all of them. I just bought another 1|2 dozen too. I cleaned out the towel cupboard and now have a lot of dog towels lol

  • I like to have three plus a beach towel for swimming. It just makes it easier and if a friend stays over we have a pile of five that we rotate. I like to change all the towels after 12 months also as they tend to become thin.

  • 3 per child. One in use, one in the wash and one in the cupboard. I have more for myself as I have long hair

  • I have kids ranging from 20 down to 3 months old and we’ve always had 2 towels each. 1 for using and 1 in the wash or washed ready for use. Same with sheet sets :)

  • I would have at least 5 per person but then again I have a large family and because they are all boys they tend to use more, well mine seem to.

  • Two per person and one beach towel. It works and saves on space and washing loads of towels.

  • I did this just a mth or so ago and I have kept 2 towels per person and 1beach towel. Seems to be working well for us. I guess it would also come down to how often you wash the towels and can you wash n dry same day of need be.

  • It depends on how much storage you have too. We have all a big beach towel each as well as some older beach towels which we do use more. I probably have around 4 each per person. Have really needed them lately when I flooded the laundry. Also super handy for picnics and to keep in cars. I probably have more than we need but we do use them for lots of things, not just for the shower (daughter used one as a blanket in her car seat the other day).

  • There is 4 people in my household and we have 6 towels

  • I would suggest three per child. You need some extras when someone s sick!

  • You need to have a few extras in case you have visitors come for holidays, children for sleepovers. Antoehr thing you have tyo take into consideration is how easy it is to get all your washing dry, especially if you have children who get “grubby” and wipe only partially clean hands on their towels.
