You name it, I’ve tried it concoction wise when it comes to cleaning the shower and tiles. What’s everyone’s handy hints pretty please?

  • I didn’t post this question but have the same problem. Thank you MoMs for all the brilliant tips.

  • Magic Erasers work brilliantly on soap scum, especially on glass. For the base of the shower I sprinkled on some bicarb soda, scrubbed it lightly all over and left it until I had a shower (the next morning). Rinsed off and looks clean again :)

  • I try and spray my shower a bit at a time when I’m in there in the morning and scrub a little a day.

  • Woollies Cream Cleanser – bloody brilliant! Also, remember to rinse it off really well as it can lease a film

  • A basic shower cleaner works well when used daily.

  • white king in a spray bottle, spray and leave overnight, and rinse off. Another idea is cream cleanser scrubbed, left for a while and wash off….

  • If you have a shower that is fairly new (less than 10 years old), try CHUX Shower Magic Eraser. It’s for tiles and shower screens. It worked perfectly for a friend of mine who’s shower is 15yo. But mine is over 40yo so it only worked on the tiles.

  • I bought one of those dishwashing handled sponges where you can put the detergent in the handle. You put in a mixture of half white vinegar and half dishwashing liquid. You keep it in the shower and once you’ve had your shower you use it to clean both the tiles and glass. It cuts through all the scum.
