Hello!

Im not wanting my 7 month old to become too attached to the dummy, so looking at getting rid of it shortly. Any suggestions as obviously bubs not old enough to reason with ?

  • My daughter left them for the ‘dummy fairy’. I bought a fairy door and put it up one day she was not home so she was very excited to see what it was. The fairy left a note explaining she would take any dummys from my daughter as she was a big girl now and give them to babies who needed them.

  • At such a young age, you’ll just have to do cold turkey. I’ve heard of a few different ways to take a dummy from older kids, giving them to the Easter bunny or Santa or swapping the dummy for a new toy. But you won’t be able to offer that to a 7 month old

  • My daughter had hers till she was two and then one day I just said “Oh, it’s broken, we’ll have to throw it away” and she was fine with that and never asked for it again.
