Hello!

I think technology is great, but I’m also reluctant to keep up with current trends. Does anyone else out there feel overwhelmed with the fast pace of technological change?

  • Thank you for your replies. I’m still a technophobe btw.

  • I think I’m getting better the more I have to do with it. I’ve got a new phone. Only had it a week can just about do everything on it. Last time I got a new mobile, it easily took me a month to figure it all out

  • no i like to keep up with it but i am interested in this sort of stuff anyway, games etc.

  • I’m with you, I think it’s great but don’t feel the need to keep up with any of it. Hence I have an iPhone 4 that my kids say I need to upgrade and I just ask why? What I have still works perfectly fine, when it doesn’t, I will look at getting something else

  • I feel that I can’t afford to be a technophobe with a school aged child – they are exposed to so much technology at school and hear so much, we have to be at least aware of what is out there and how we can communicate with them about it and how we can support them with their use of same. We don’t need to be and can’t be an expert on all of it, but being aware is important. Many schools and community centres run technology info sessions for parents (from quite a few points of view).
