Hello!

I am organising a Tea Party for my daughter’s 5th Birthday. There will be about 8-9 girls including her. She loves pink colour. I have never organised a tea party so need some help. Just wondering if mummies would be able to give me ideas for food, games and anything else you could think of.

Much appreciate your input. Thanks.

  • A lovely idea ! I would do just sandwiches and maybe scones, cheese, maybe ham/sausages, boiled egg, mini pizza’s, fruit platters, party rolls with jugs of iced water. Have them bring their teddy bears ! And the traditional games are always fun at this age (pass the parcel, musical statute, sack races, egg runs, apple bopping)

  • A three tiered cake stand with all yummy cup cakes would be great, fairy bread is always a treat.maybe some pink lemonade, some watermelon, could make melon balls.or some little jelly cups.Party pies & sausage rolls are always popular, some baby quiche are good too.

  • Fruit kebabs made into fairy wands with grals and watermelon cut into the shape of a star

  • definitely fairy bread and princess bread (bread with butter and then sugar with drops of cochineal food colouring in it to make it pink, sprinkled on top. Strawberries dipped in white chocolate, meringue kisses, musk sticks, lamingtons.
Pin the bee on the flower, egg and spoon race, treasure hunt, musical chairs, pass the parcel.
drink – soda water with sugar syrup and cochineal food colouring.

  • Do some fruit kebabs, you could use fruits such as strawberrys, watermelon and raspberrys for girls colours :)

  • Fairy bread triangles, jam & cream butterfly cupcakes, fruit kebabs are always popular. Old-fashioned games like “Pin the Tail on the Donkey” and “Pass the Parcel” are fun.

  • What a great idea for a party. I think decorated cupcakes or cake slices along with sandwiches would make for lovely finger food for the girls.

  • there are some good comments here

  • How did the tea party go?

  • What a cute idea for a party!

  • What a fun idea… apple juice for tea, fairy sandwiches, cheese sandwiches and you could try cucumber. Decorating cup cakes is always a fun game for girls parties.

  • Hope all went well with the tea party.

  • Did you end up using any of the suggestions below?
