Hello!

I am flying from Perth to Melbourne with my 2 kids, 5 year old and 9 month old. Any ideas with things to do on the flight. Thanks. Do you have any ideas for entertaining kids on a flight?

  • noughts an crosses on paper or create a visual scavenger hunt that they can cross off things when they can see it on the plane such as ‘person with a beard’, ‘person wearing a green piece of clothing’, a pair of airpods etc – can have pictures printed and when they have found all the items then they win a lolly or 5 minutes of a game on your phone or whatever.

  • How did the flight go? What did you end up doing to amuse them?

  • the inflight movie will be great. Pack a bag of unusual little toys from the cheap shop. I think the little one will be ok, will hopefuly sleep for you. good luck.

  • there are some good comments here

  • I pads etc would be good. But my son ( 7 ) loves books where you have to find objects

  • how did it go? we are flying overseas next year so will certainly keep these ideas in mind, for shorter flights i found snacks were great. I took colouring in books but the kids didn’t even use them but better to have options then nothing at all.

  • Hope all went well on the flight.

  • An iPad was our saviour!

  • how did you go on your flight?

  • being a short flight it shouldn’t be too bad. one movie and you should be there really :)

  • Hope all went well with you flight and the kids.

  • toys, colouring in books etc.

  • It isn’t really too long a flight, you might find that they have enough to do with looking at everything going on on the plane

  • Colouring in – usually on that flight they might have a movie playing – depends on what airline you are going on.

  • I pad or I phone but also remember the flight company give them a little pack with pencils etc in it
