Hello!

Hi MoM’s,
Have any of you had that loose blow in insulation removed? Was it worth it? Our home is so very dusty and we can only think it comes from the insulation fibres via ducted heating and evap cooling vents which are all in the ceiling.

  • I would get another opinion on this matter if I were you. As many people have this type of insulation and I have never heard of this being blamed on dust in the house. Very interesting subject.

  • Ours is fine where it is. we have never had a problem with our blown in insulation rockwool. Fibre glass batts can be just as bad as asbestos for installers How is that for a fact for the day!?

  • The units are usually sealed and should not blow out any insulation. We have solid batts and still get loads of dust. Check with suppliers if unsure.

  • I feel your pain!!!

  • ni dont but we have a building development down the road, as well a a flinstones garden supplier so there for our house if forever covered in dust. clean it on day and its back the next. I can not wait to be able to afford to move somewhere else.

  • mmm, drives me crazy

  • Oh my goodness, we have test insulation! And we also have a lot of dust inside. I had never considered it could be the insulation. Food for thought
