“Just wondering if anyone has a Thermomix and what do they think of it? Any regrets? Does it save you time? I have just been to a demo and it looks like a great time saver and less dirty dishes but I can’t really afford one. I’d wish you could try before you buy to see if you use it as much as you think you would. If I save I might be able to get one in a few years. So is it worth saving for? Would love to hear peoples thoughts on this.”

  • I have read wonderful reviews on them, but they are very pricey

  • I have heard some really good things and would love one myself

  • I’d love to see someone post a comparison (real life usage) between a thermomix and one of the generic / cheaper brands. Are they really worth the massive price tag? I understand the thermie’s are worth around $2000, but Bellini make one for around $300. Taking out the snob factor, is it really worth seven times the price?

  • I think they are great if you can afford one.

  • did you get one in the end

  • Personally I don’t think so but we have a friend who thinks they are just fantastic (she has one). I think there are a few different ones now – not sure what the difference in price is though.

  • My daughter just bought one and loves it

  • I could not justify the money

  • did you end up getting one?

  • Curious to know if you got one. If so,how did it go? If not, what swayed you against it?

  • Did you end up deciding to get one?

  • Have you decided whether you will get one or not?

  • Yes I did end up buying one and are loving it :)

  • I LOVE mine!!! I know a lot of people who have them, for various reasons (health/dietary etc) and although every one of them, including me, said I can’t believe how expensive they are, once you have one, you will say it is completely worth every penny. I used mine so much when my little one was starting solids as it is one pot to chop, cook and puree and we cook so many different kinds of meals in it. It is super efficient and it will save you time and effort. If you don’t like preservatives in your food, and are prepared to make things from scratch, you will love it. The selling point for me at the demo was risotto in 16 minutes, no stirring. I’m not kidding. I married an Italian and we eat Risotto at least once/twice a week. And the ice cream is yummy! :)

  • i cant believe how expensive they are!!! i am avoiding going to a demo as i know i will probably want one but cannot justify the exorbitant price. Hoping kmart etc brings out a cheaper rip off version soon lol.
