Hello!

My son is 6 months old and hasn’t started cutting any teeth. Some of my friends babies who are the same age they have a couple of teeth already.

  • If your child has no baby teeth by 12 months, bring them to the dentist. They should also visit a dentist if their remaining baby teeth haven’t erupted by 4 years. A dentist can determine if this is expected for your child or if they should see a specialist

  • It all depends in age and the individual I would say they will come soon or you can go to a gp I wouldn’t worry too mich

  • I wouldn’t worry too much. All kids are different when it comes to cutting first teeth and losing milk teeth.
My youngest cut her first tooth when she was 13 months.
I would take her along to your dental check, your dentist can have a wee look and see if/when her teeth are coming.

  • I wouldn’t worry too much. My daughter got her first tooth at 6 months. But I know of two other little ones who didn’t cut their first until well after 12 months.

  • I wouldn’t worry my first got teeth early and my 2nd didn’t get teeth until 12 months I also know someone who’s daughter is 18 months and zero sign of teeth the gp told her not to worry they will come once they are ready

  • All babies are different, most milestones are a rough estimate of the average but if you have any concerns ask your child health nurse or GP, & just enjoy the extended teething free time!

  • All kids are different. Mine got their first teeth around 9 and 10 months.

  • A baby can start dribbling several weeks before the first tooth appears. Dribbling is often the first signs that a tooth may soon break through a baby’s gums. Sometimes they come through earlier than predicted (I lknow one little one who already has the teeth most normally get about 2 y.o. at 18 months. Others get their teeth later than normal.

  • He’ll probably have a tooth explosion at 7 months. Don’t stress it, they’ll come

  • My first child got his first tooth right on 6 months. After that he followed the dates on the teething chart almost perfectly. So when my second child was 6 months I expected little teeth to start appearing. They didn’t. It wasn’t until she was 10 months that the first tooth appeared, and just yesterday the second started peeking through. Each kid is different!

  • I have 4 kids and all have got teeth at at different ages. #1 was around 10 months when he popped his 1st tooth and same as my 2nd my 3rd got his all come through quickly from 5 months and my 4th bubba has 2 and she is 9 months and got them around 7.5 months. She didn’t show any signs of teething at all I just noticed them just cutting through when she opened her mouth.

  • Every baby is different, my first had her first tooth but 4 months where my second didn’t her first till 8 months. So I would suggest not to worring just yet and enjoy not having a clingy, sook and sleep regression baby!!

  • still a bit too early to worry yet – don’t compare your baby to others as each is different and they will all hit different milestones at different times

  • Every baby is different so don’t stress :) my little sister didn’t cut her first tooth until after she turned 1 and my daughter just cut her first tooth a few days before being 6 months old :)

  • My DS didn’t cut his first tooth till he was close to 15 months.
