  • Have you looked for Blinky Bill items? He was pretty big, should be something somewhere. Make your own koala pinata and hang it in a gum tree

  • Thanks everyone – took a bit of advice from all of you. Used the clip on koalas, koala on the cake and a few koalas around the room, koala colouring stencils and animal shapes, pass the parcel with caramello koalas and koala toys as prizes

  • Perhaps you could get your hands on a koala onesy costume and have a responsible friend come dressed up to surprise the birthday person and friends.

  • Use colours associated with koalas when decorating and search eBay for party favours etc

  • Koala cake/cupcakes
Pin the nose on the Koala
Decorate the room/place with grey white and pink balloons some gumleaves and gumnuts, you may be able to find some posters of koalas at your local cheap shop- reject shop or shiploads. You use to be able to get these mini koalas that clip onto the end of pencils Mayen have a look for those?!

  • Koala birthday cake. Maybe look at cheap as chips or stores that have a koala stamp. kids get a stamp when they arrive. stickers.you can make labels foe things with koalas on them. put up koala posters.draw koalas on balloons in permanent marker. have koala bear teddies around room.

  • I found these cute cupcakes once that I’ve saved in my ph in case I ever wanted to make them for Australia Day

  • Give a look at these “Koala themed birthday partiy” ideas in Pinterest. https://au.pinterest.com/Ahunterswife14/koala-themed-birthday-party/ I hope it will give you some ideas. :-)

  • For decorations you could have lots of eucalyptus leaves and branches about and a few soft toy koalas; maybe get the packs of 10 clip on koalas that are sometimes sold to tourists so everyone can wear one. For children’s activities, maybe make/provide some masks (or have as craft activity) with koala face and eyes cut out, sellotape a straw so you can hold up mask or have elastic to wear it. Maybe have a soft toy koala that everyone can hold near your eucalypt display and have a photo taken just like at the wildlife park! Play some ‘koala grunting’ music when you want to make a speech to get everyone’s attention!
