Hello!

There are so many recipes on here but I can’t seem to find a Honey Chicken recipe. Has anyone got a favorite recipe they like to use or give me a basic idea on what I should be doing? Thanks

  • Not sure I’m keen to try fruitwoods option. I like the flour coating and deep frying, but not sure about then rolling it in straight honey

  • I like to go to the website taste.com and mouth of mums for great recipes. They both have some good home recipes.

  • Thanks Fruitwood, I will give it a go & let you know how I go. Thanks again.

  • I make honey soy chicken kebabs. I marinate the chicken pieces (usually chicken fillet cut into small cubes) in a mixture of soya sauce, honey and sesame oil. I then thread these pieces onto skewers with capsicum, onion and grill. The taste is quite flavoursome.

  • Fruitwood’s way sounds nice and easy but I will keep an eye on this one as I love chicken and marinating it for different flavours.

  • No, but this seems a good place to mention it can be tricky to search the recipes.

  • To make my honey chicken, I dice chicken breast and then dip it in to a coating of plain flour & chinese 5 spice. I deep fry it for a couple of minutes until golden and then tip it in to a bowl of honey and coat. It’s a family favourite :D
