Hello!

Hi mums, I’m just after some advice. My 3 year old sons right testicle looks swollen, I had a look and it looks like it may be fluid. He is not in pain at all. I was wondering if anyone else’s son has experienced this? Thanks in advance. :)

  • Baby boys can commonly experience a hydrocele, which is a sac filled with fluid around a testicle. It causes the scrotum to be swollen. This is usually harmless and goes away after a few months. Still good to have it checked and get reassurance from your Gp

  • I would take him to a doctor to get checked out.

  • My son had a similar thing, it was like an extra testicle more then swelling though. Ended up being a hydrocele and he needed an operation at 2 1/2 to fix it. Nothing serious though, not life threatening at all

  • GO TO THE DOCTOR.
dont brush it off as nothing see a doctor and find out for sure, one appointment for piece of mind is the only way.
its probably nothing but what if its not?

  • check with the doctor is worth a try
to put your mind at rest say I
we all have something bigger or smaller it is true
my friend has one boob bigger than other just how it grew
nothing wrong just because it wanted too
    hope this helps you

  • Go and see your GP immediately . They will be able to tell you if it is something that should be investigated further and it will also put your mind at ease.

  • I was going to say see a doctor. Glad you have and hope all goes ell for your sons operation.

  • Take him to the drs if you are not sure and feel something is wrong

  • Anything to do with testicles see a doctor immediately; as your son gets older teach him about his personnel parts.

  • He might have a hydrocele & needs to see a Dr.

  • My son had lots of fluid. The tubes each side to the testes are supposed to seal at 12 months. If they havent it has fluid in excess looking swollen. They gave my son an operation called an hydroseal. This sealed the tubes each side. Now my son is in his thirties and is proud of the scars. He tells everyone he had an op because he had big balls

  • Yeah the dr said its quite common in younger boys, he said its not serious so we will go on a waiting list to get it operated on at royal children’s hospital :)

  • I was going to say get him checked for a hernia. Hopefully it’s easy fixed – I know it’s very common.

  • Hi I posted this a few days ago..he got checked out and had a ultrasound he has a hernia.

  • Hi please get your son checked out by a dr better to be safe than sorry
