Hello!

My husband and I have had a couple of false starts with this diet as it seems so difficult to measure calories. Does anyone have any recipes or meal lists or know where I can find relevant sites? So far I’ve only come across American sites.

  • I think there is an online group you can join. Not sure of the website though, sorry.

  • Basically, stick to unsweetened green or black tea or simple soups full of veggies to keep your calories down. I’m currently trying the 10:14 diet for women. You eat healthily for 10 hours of the day and fast for the other 14. Sounds hard??? Not really. I eat dinner between 5 and 6 pm, go to bed 9.30ish and have breakfast after 8am the next morning. No hardship there, too easy.

  • The calorie King has an Aussie book … handbag size.

  • You can find so many recipes, or ideas on pinterest regarding the 5:2 Diet. You could also use calorieking website to calculate how many calories in certain foods so you can keep on or under the 500 calories on the days you can only consume that amount. With calorieking – you can create your own meals, by putting in what ingredient you will be using, how much of that ingredient and it will display how many calories in it. Then you do the next ingredient, and so on..

There is also this book that you can buy, or borrow.. (i attached it in the image attachment)!

  • I started using Losebabyweight.com.au meal plans. Every two months they have a 28 day challenge and by being a member you have access of all the past challenges that you can do again. I found that their meals are great and can be made for the whole family. My husband is on the plan with me, last year he was told he was borderline diabetes, now he said his sugar level has been really good and doesn’t mind the diet food.

  • I too want to know more because I have lost a fwe kgs and want to loose more

  • Thanks will have a look at the Zoe Harcombe diet although I don’t need to lose weight. Looking at eating plan more for overall health.

  • Do yourself a favour and buy the “Zoe Hardcombe book” I started her way of eating two weeks before Christmas. I Was naughty Xmas day and New Year’s Eve. And not put on any weight. I’ve lost 7kg so far and loving her style of eating.. Not a diet but just a few rules. My friend lost 18kg. Good luck with losing your weight.

  • I’d be very interested too. I did put up a question a couple of weeks go about the Intermittent Fasting and calorie restriction diet. Thanks!
