Hello!

I was after suggestions for a end of year thank you gift for my sons prep school teacher. I want to give her something nice but have no idea where to begin. We’ve already gifted her chocolates during Easter and mid year, so I would like something different.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

  • Last year I gave the teacher and the teacher aides a plant with a photo card of my child saying “thanks for helping me grow”. It was very well received

  • Any sort of Christmas food like panetone or stollen would be good.

  • I love being creative! i use pintrest for ideas. did the m&m jar for one where each colour represents an attribute from the teacher!

  • I always think teacher’s need a bottle of wine by the end of the year! What did you end up getting them?

  • these are great ideas! we gave the teacher a candle , card and a choccy :) she was so happy :) what did you end up picking?

  • Last week I went shopping with my sister in law and she was asking the same question as her daughter had to buy a small gift for her teacher for Xmas. By coincidence this pastry cook from Bakers Delight was offering pieces of Xmas cake to taste and it was so nice and moist. So her and myself ended up buying the mini cake for only $3.50 and it is enough for one person to have a cup of tea with it . You better get in quick as he told us at the time he already sold 150 !!

  • Thanks so much for ideas ladies.
I love the idea of hand made gifts. The succulent sounds like an awesome option. Thanks again!!

  • Handmade items are nice – a book of some if his drawings, a calico bag with a drawings done with fabric pens, or a gift card from a shop like dymocks are options worth considering.

  • Do you have a picture of your child with the teacher. You could print it and put it in a nice frame.

  • What about a little succulent in a cute little pot with coloured rocks around it or something cute, handmade by your son. Check out Pinterest. Sooooooooooo many awesome ideas. Currently going through them myself but I can’t decide waaaah haha :)
