Hello!

I was wondering how safe everyone thinks it is to put photos of their kids on Facebook. I know you can limit who sees your photo but when one of your friends like a photo then that means your friends friends can see it. Is it safe?

  • I have family in different countries and always posted in the past. Good to look at your privacy settings though and what you reveal (like location, street names, name of school, school uniform etc)

  • Social media isn’t known for its safeness! I don’t post pictures of others without their permission. I generally delete any photos within 24 hours, leave it just long enough for family to see

  • I am very careful with what I post on Facebook. People and places visited are usually out of bounds for me

  • I have no problems with it, we have family in a few different countries so it helps them see my daughter grow up.

  • I my be old fashioned but I say no to putting photo’s of your kids on Facebook, send them to friends by email. As you never know who can get on Facebook sites, hackers are experts at doing lots of things.things. Unfortunately we live in a world where not good things can and do happen. Check with your friends and then the decision is up to you

  • Also; always think of the potential audience.

  • It is sensible to use some caution and not overshare; use good judgment.

  • i don’t put any on there

  • If you are at all concerned about safety then don’t put pics up on the internet for your own peace of mind. I wouldn’t put any faith in Facebook privacy settings, too many hackers about and you only have to do a Google search to confirm this.

  • I love taking pic’s of my children and posting them for family and friends I also refuse to live in fear. I have alot of family and friends that don’t live near me and they always love to see the kids growing up over the years but I never post anything like in the bath or anything else like that, it’s always good pics of the children enjoying themselves on outings or at home.

  • I don’t upload photos to Facebook but I actually don’t upload much to Facebook at all. Lol

  • there are some good comments here

  • I think anytime you upload something to the internet you accept the risk of it being shared with strangers.
