I was wondering if anyone knew how to get a blood stain out of sheets as my son seems to have blood noses overnight? I have previously soaked them but they are not shifting. Thank you

  • I’m going to try what MARJE KAMENEV suggested next time I come across this problem!

  • these are some good ideas :)

  • Thanks for all the answers, I wanted to know too!

  • Soak blood stained sheet in cold water and lots of salt overnight and then wash it with your usual laundry powder. Always worked for me

  • google “Shannon Lush” … she always has the answers

  • My daughter gets blood noses all the time too. I tried everything until my mum came to the rescue! DO NOT use hot/warm water as it will set/cook the stain. Some soaps will set the stain too so do not use any soap. Just soak in plain cold water (half an hour for fresh stains or several hours for dried stains), then machine wash as normal in a cold cycle (with detergent). I couldn’t believe this worked but it has never failed me. The best thing is I don’t have to stand around rubbing the stain out – waste of time in my busy house! Good luck :)

  • hydrogen peroxide, scrub, then cold water.. wash as usual.

  • Vanish oxyaction spray, you may have to treat a couple of times but works for me.

  • White king!

  • Ditto Alexis Dawn

  • run them under cold water before the blood sets,

  • If the stains are fresh, not been washed, you can put them under cold running water to rinse and then wash them with Napisan. If they are older stains, milk will sometimes work. Soak the stain in milk for about half an hour, then rinse under cold running water and wash with Napisan. Works most of the time.

  • Hydrogen peroxide. Soak the stain in it right away, let sit until it stops bubbling, then wash. Use bleach and hot water if they are white. Will only work on new stains though.

  • soak in cold water n salt or pour coke a cola on sheet and wash as normal

  • Buncha Farmer’s Stain Stick.
