Hello!

Any suggestions on how to remove cooking oil from my pavers? I’ve tried jiff, bleach, dishwashing detergent and nothing has worked so far. Thanks

  • I would try a high pressure cleaner

  • go to your closest automotive store and buy a grease or oil removing cleaner

  • A K’Archer might do the trick, it’s a high powered hose/spray cleaner. There is a new product on the market, I watched that Better Homes and Gardens gardener advertising it the other day

  • I would suggest sprinkling bi carb on the stains and pressing in and then add vinegar. Hopefully this will work.

  • I reckon if it’s an old stain, it’s well and truly soaked in and stained. You could try a Karcher pressure cleaner

  • Spray fly spray on to the oil absorb with paper towel …. repeat.

  • For motor vehicle oil we have used used turpentine and rubbed it really hard with a duster. You could probably use a scrubbing brush, not sure if you will get it clean very easily afterwards. A small “pool” of engine oil, even from a truck will come of with turps. My dad and brother were both motor mechanics. It will get fat and some types of house paint off cement too. Leave it on there. You may need to do it more than once, especially if the sun shines on it. The quicker you get it off the better. The air will dry it fairly quickly

  • Try a product called T.S.P its a all purpose heavy duty cleaner it comes in a carton like a pint of milk we used it all the time in the UK when the BBQ would spit oil.
Maybe try bunnings or your local hardware store.

  • I would try a degreaser the one you spray on then hose off or if you know someone who can get you some truck wash it has degreaser in it

  • thanks for all your answers. I will try each individually. unfortunately replacing pavers is not economical considering only a few pavers are affected in a very large area. a – i won’t be able to find the same pavers anywhere and b. it’s a rental property so not willing to spend several thousand $$ to replace them all. Surely one of your suggestions has to work. Cheers all xx

  • have you tried clr on that

  • 30 second cleaner or degreaser~!

  • Put washing up liquid on scrub in and leave. Hose off

  • If that was me and I’d tried a few things already, I’d just replace the pavers.

  • degreaser from an auto shop has always worked for me
