  • most biscuit recipes I’ve seen call for some flour. You need something resembling flour to make a dough.

  • I remember seeing them cook peanut butter cookies on Ready Steady Cook. I’m sure it was only peanut butter, sugar, egg and chocolate chips. So I’m sure you would be able to find one somewhere

Paul Rankin’s easy recipe for soft, buttery cookies takes less than half an hour.
    Ingredients
    8 tbsp plain flour
    2 tbsp caster sugar
    2 tbsp crunchy peanut butter
    1 free-range egg yolk
    50g/1¾oz butter, softened
    icing sugar, for dusting
    Preparation method
Preheat the oven to 180C/350F/Gas 4.
Place the flour, sugar, peanut butter, egg yolk and butter into a large bowl and mix together until combined to a smooth dough.
With lightly floured hands, break off evenly sized pieces of the dough and roll into walnut sized balls.
Place the dough balls onto a baking sheet lined with silicon paper or baking parchment and gently press each ball with the back of a fork to flatten slightly.
Place in the oven and bake for ten minutes, or until just turning golden-brown.
Transfer the cookies to a wire rack and allow to cool for ten minutes.
To serve, place on a serving plate and dust with icing sugar.

  • yes i use it in my cookies

  • I found a delicious recipe for peanut butter cookies & there was no flour in them, they were so easy to make, took only a few mins in the oven and were absolutely devoured!!!

  • I have made peanut butter cookies without flour. They worked, were yum and the kids devoured them.

  • Plain flour is normal, maybe add chocolate to help the flavour

  • Also have just checked there are four (4) recipes on here, just go to the recipe section and type in peanut butter cookies, make sure you type peanut butter with a space though other wise it will not find the recipes.
There are 3 for flourless and 1 with flour.
Yummm I can picture them now, sooo delicious.:-)

  • Depends on the recipe you are using. You can use flour or you can bake the flourless version.
I have made the flourless ones many times and they are wonderful and have the benefit of being gluten free. If you google flourless peanutbutter cookies there are numerous sites.
    One recipe is for:
    2 cups peanut butter
    2 cups white sugar
    2 eggs
    2 teasps baking soda
    1 pinch salt
    1 teasp vanilla extract

    Also KRAFT has a recipe:
    1 cup smooth peanutbutter
    1/2 cup sugar
    1 egg.

    Happy baking :-)

  • If a biscuit or cookie doesn’t have a starch (flour) then there will never be that crispy texture, and it won’t hold together. I’d just start with a tried and true recipe, follow it and if you’re looking to healthy it up a bit put in 1/3 whole meal flour 2/3 unbleached (that is 1/3 and 2/3 of the quantity called for in the recipe).
