  • I find the easiest way is to just have a few toys out each day and rotate on a very regular basis. That way it doesn’t look so overwhelming for the kids and for yo. It fosters creativity in children to have less toys to play with at one time. Keep the other toys in a cupboard in another room. The added bonus is that the because the kids haven’t seen some of the toys for a while, they have renewed interest in them.

  • We bought some tubs/buckets from Kmart for $5 to put our baby’s toys in. These are easy as you can just throw them all in with minimal effort.

  • Have large open tubs that the kids have to put their things into once they are done.

  • Move it to a room with a door. Then you can shut the door on all the mess. The whole point of a play room, the kids are expected to make a mess

  • I bought a bookcase from kmart and turned it on its side, and I put some different containers in each slot, and keep my sons toys in there.

  • Less is more in this case one toy box is all that’s necessary otherwise you better of just closing the door and not thinking about what lies behind

  • I used to have a big wooden chest. It looks nice and I would throw everything in it and close the lid. Job done!
