Hello!

I want to buy a race car toddler bed for my son who is turning 2. They are a little pricey…has anyone bought one and did you and your child like it?

  • Maybe look at Ikea ? They have pretty awesome beds for low price

  • My grandson has a racing car bed and he loves it! It’s a pretty big one so it should last quite a few years.

  • I would not bother with a toddler bed. Our cot converted to a toddler bed, but if it didn’t I would use a normal single bed with a bed rail so your toddler can’t fall out.

  • I’d rather buy a bed that will last a lot longer.

  • See if you can find one second hand – people often sell them quite cheap and in excellent condition

  • they are a bit pricey but maybe if you see one on sale or can get one second hand. my kids went straight from cots to single beds but I know plenty of people who have used and like toddler beds.

  • My boys have car beds & they do like them, but not as much as I had hoped they would.
The first few weeks they were over the moon, but then it started to wear off a bit.
I don’t regret buying them, but suggest waiting until they are on sale.
My boys are cars mad so I really thought they would have loved having their own car beds.

  • My son loved his. We had a second son so got a lot of use out of it. It is expensive and you will need to replace it down the track fir a normal, bigger bed. But your son will love it :)

  • I had one and had to sell it he hated it,

  • I prefer to buy my kids pieces that will last. I think they grow out of princess and race car beds pretty quickly A nice car quilt cover and floor rug are great alternatives.

  • I haven’t bought my kids one but I think they would get as much kick out of just cool bedding, even a race car cushion on bed. I think they are a waste of money as your kids aren’t in it forever

  • They are not very well built, are made of inferior materials and in my opinion not worth the cost. I suggest you get a regular single bed and place racing car decorations in his room.

  • We got given one and my son loved it. I rsold it for $50 on a Facebook buy and sell local page so keep your eyes peeled on those. Have you also checked Gumtree? I’d never buy anything like that new. My sister did and it was exxy!

  • Just got my two boys one each for Christmas this year did it by lay by definitely easier and so worth it :)

  • Yes reports nice big red race car bed for my son and he loves it. Its got the spoiler, the headlights that are highlights and the plastic wheels on the outside. It cost $450 but we brought it from a factory in a industrial area that was. Cheaper than from furniture shops now my son is 5 and still love his t bed
