Hello!

I’m not very savvy when it comes to skin care and make up. My eldest daughter is now 14, and other than making sure she applies sunscreen for prolonged sun exposure, I’m lacking advice on how she should look after her skin. I’ve bought her a few acne skin cleansers, but really her skin is fairly blemish-free, not too oily, and not too dry (lucky her, she got her fathers complexion and not mine). What are your top 2 tips for teen skin care, the must learn skin routines to set up good habits for the rest of her life?

  • Taking care of the skin at a young age is a great habit to establish. Here are some general skin care tips for a 14-year-old:Gentle Cleansing,Moisturize,Sun Protection.

  • Drink lots of water and sunscreen. There are some nice cleansing blocks that are natural, and gentle on the skin, however if she doesn’t really have pimples then why bother.

  • i don’t think she needs to do too much at her age.

  • Cleanse and moisturise daily. Don’t sleep with makeup on, always make sure to cleanse before going to bed. Wear sunscreen as you have mentioned, or use foundation with SPF. Keep it simple, there are so many gimmicks out there.

  • Cleanse,tone,serum and moisturizer,it sound’s like she has normal/combination skin!

  • Some great advice given and I’m also going to suggest the Enjo skin range. I have a face glove and no longer have the need to cleanse as often and a great sunscreen.

  • If she wears make up take it all off before she goes to bed. It isn’t good for your skin to leave it on all night

  • witch hazel is also great to add to the skin care routine. use it as a toner

  • yes cleanse, tone and moisturise. these steps are important and get into the habit of wearing sunscreen or at least buying products that contain them

  • Oh yes this is a must. My daughter started using makeup from the shops and other products so I looked into it and then (joined) Didn’t like the shop stuff. So we get it all online great shopping in comfort of home and together and re order when she needs. She started on the clear range as had a few pimples but not only that it comes with numbers to get them into a routine of cleansing, toning, moist, so it great then now ive put her on the apricot teen range easy to use and has SPF 15 but she also uses a bb crème which also has the built in SPF so its great for protecting her.
I know that she is using the right products that will set her up for life and knowing that they are natural.
Hope that helps and if you would any help please message me personally at tracyjb@iprimus.com.au
