  • maybe try essential oils? vaporiser

  • Give them a tablespoon of olive leaf extract daily to build up their immune system and they will get better faster.

  • Honey and lemon drinks. My daughter loved honey in a hot milo, honey is meant to sooth the throat. Vicks on the back, chest and feet at bedtime to help breathing. I also use a vaporiser with eucalyptus oil during the night too.

  • panadaol and fluids, vicks on the socks

  • If they will drink it , a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar in water can help a cough and is full of vitamin c.

  • Vick’s on the soles of the feet (you’ll have to put socks on them) will help with the coughing.

  • For coughs a teaspoon of honey. For sore throats mix equal amounts of honey & lemon. To stop a coughing spasm warm apple juice

  • Go to the chemist look for a great brand you trust and buy a Vitamin C with Zinc or Olive Leaf Extract is an easy to swallow liquid suitable for both adults and children. I have added a tablespoon of this to the family meal like spaghetti and the family don’t even know they have just had it. It tastes like olive oil. We traditionally use this for relief of coughs, colds, flu, sore throats and to help reduce fevers. It’s brilliant!

  • I try putting garlic in whatever I can ,not too much ,also I like to use eucalyptus oil on tissues inside pillow corner ,We don’t have too many colds .

  • The best method to get rid of cold and cough is a cup of tea with black pepper, tulsi and salt. It definitely works and take steam of vicks for running nose.

  • Oh for coughs, give them a tiny piece of dark chocolate – the darker the better…now this is amazing!…esp when they are coughing through the night.

  • I give my kids a warm lemon drink (fresh lemon, lemon cordial) whatever you have before they go out the door in winter. This warm lemon drink makes any mucus that is in their chest & dissolve not sitting in their making them sick. Both my kids have not had one cold this year…we went from all having pneumonia 2 years ago. It really works & is so beneficial for them…stops the snuffles & runny noses they get of a morning!

  • i use eucalyptus spray. I put it on the pillows and spray in the air,you could also try a vapourizer

  • lots of rest. drinking water. or drinking honey and lemon in warm water.

  • Plenty of rest, encourage good hand washing techniques to stop the spread, particularly after coughing and using tissues, top up the vitamin C with fresh lemonade, and orange juice, a spoon of honey to soothe the throat.
