Hello!

My little girl is now 16 months old and my self and hubby are trying for another baby. We had a misscarriage last July, and have started trying since January but we haven’t had any luck. We found out my hubby has low testosterone due to steroid use years ago, but I’m getting impatient and thinking it’s never going to happen. Has anyone else experienced this?? Thanks mummas!

  • The more you focus on your desire to get pregnant, the less relaxed you are about it. I would suggest to totally get your mind on other things and relax; the more likely t will happen spontaneously when it is meant to be.

  • I think a lot of people find themselves feeling very anxious when they want to conceive.

  • I really can’t add much more than the comments already posted. I wish you the very best.

  • Be patient, these things tend to happen when you least expect it!
Don’t make love just for the purpose of making a baby, enjoy one another!
If you’re really concerned about the low levels, go see your GP & ask what the suggest.
Use a Ovulation tracker so you know the best time to try & conceive.
Most importantly, spice things up a bit!
Wear a sexy outfit, try something new, book a weekend away.
Sometimes conceiving can happen very quickly, sometimes it takes longer.
You can also get your GP to check that everything is ok after your miscarriage.
Best of luck & happy love making.

  • Maybe go to the doctors and ask them to run a few tests. We tried for two years and no luck and ended up doing ivf.

  • Maybe he needs treatment to improve his levels. Maybe to are trying too hard at the wrong time. Stress can make it harder too.

  • I agree its very normal to take up to 1 year!

  • Interesting comments! Good luck!

  • Have you been taking your temperature so you know when you ovulate?

  • no experience but wish you well – practice a lot and relax…. x

  • It’s really common for it to take up to 2 years to conceive. If your worried about it, make an appointment to see a fertility specialist who will be able to help you achieve your dream. Good Luck xx

  • Have you had his sperm tested? He a referral to an ICF specialist and they can get a sample and go from there. I was an IVF nurse in Briabane so if need any info or contacts let me know.

  • give Menevit a go

  • It is SO normal to take up to 1 year. It’s either 1 or 2 years of trying every time that is considered more serious for fertility issues. Do you track your cycle? May be worth knowing when you’re most fertile! ‘The billings method’ is a good natural fertility program online for tracking. You watch cervical mucus. Also chemists usually have ovualtion indicators… Good luck!

  • It will happen but stressing isn’t good try to relax & not put pressure onto yourself, most people fall when they stop worring about it. Good luck!
