  • I had my son’s toilet training from the moment they could walk.

  • We started at 2 1/2 when little Miss was trying to take her nappy off and use the potty when we went to the toilet – we kept the potty in our en-suite so she’d get the hint. We didn’t start to seriously train until she was 3 though, and it didn’t really fully click until 4. But we had a lot of constipation issues that probably hindered toileting. Our kindy and daycare were both helpful in getting started with properly training.

  • My son will be 3 in August. He tells us when he needs to poo or wee but freaks out if we suggest he use the potty or toilet. We are just letting him go at his own pace. When they are ready they are ready.

  • No, my daughter started when she’s 3+. Still some accident after she’s 4 when she’s too concentrate in her play but otherwise she’s ok. Just kept remind or ask whether they need to go. My son was trained when he’s at 3. So every kid is different.

  • All kids are different and all kids can go backwards to dont ever feel discouraged you have to do what’s right for you and your children and sometimes making dinners and taking kids to school is more important than toilet training. I dont think 3 is to late it’s never to late although they might be a little set in their ways (wearing a nappy) to be interested in going to a toilet so the struggle will be real. It’s an idea to encourage toilet training when little miss or Mr become aware of what and when they are going to the toilet in their nappy and encourage toilet or potty use. Best of luck and remember we all struggle even 3 year olds!

  • Started at 3 but my daughter wasn’t ready. After she turned 4, put knickers on and she was good to go with no prompting and she had no accidents. My son is 4 and haven’t started yet, but will be soon.
