Hello!

I’m due to have Bubs #1 in Nov & am wondering what Baby carrier/ Wrap would be recommended. I’ve read a few reviews about some being more dangerous than good for baby, due to their hips & the way they are carried.

  • I have a hug a bub and they are meant to be good. Baby bjorn is another I have but I hear thy aren’t that great for hips

  • using the ergo baby 360 carrier and loved it. Bubba now 11 month old is still using it and does not mind being in it.

  • Thanks Ladies! I was looking at the Ergo – I have mild scoliosis so thinking it’s the way to go :)

  • i have the hug a bub wrap and love it ! takes a few goes but its great, and once you figure it out really easy to use. my little guy loves and it keeps my hands free to do other things like cooking and washing .
but also look at the ergo !! esp if you have a sore back

  • If you worry about all the things that might hurt your baby you will go nuts, every baby is different and everything in moderation it great. Baby Bjorn to carry in is great for shortish periods and love to swaddle for bed time so they don’t get out of the wrap.

  • I have a boba wrap and I absolutely love it! It is a little tricky and time consuming to put on but once it’s on, it is so comfortable and my boy loves it :o) I use it all the time, shopping (put him in it rather than the baby seats in the shopping trolleys), going to the footy, it’s a lot easier than trying to get a pram in and out of the car most of the time :o) I’ve used it since he was about 2 weeks old (he’s now nearly 16 weeks) and will fall asleep in it most times :o) My suggestion is go to a baby shop and try them all on before you decide on one, what works for one person doesn’t necessarily work for another :o) good luck!

  • My son wore “Summer Infant SwaddleMe” as a newborn, moved to the “Love To Swaddle UP” until he was ready to move to a sleeping bag.

  • ErgoBaby is good because it has the cocoon for the little bubs and can grow with them. The only problem I’ve found, is unlike the baby Bjorn, you can’t have it facing outward on your chest, which baby often wants when they’re 6-12 months, to see what is going on.

  • I have had a few, and the best for bub and me has been the Ergobaby. He is supported around his neck and my back is also supported. He falls asleep in it every time. When he is in it, he looks like a little koala – must be extremely comfortable for him.
