Hello!

I’m looking at buying the kids a trampoline for Christmas, and want a large one with a net that will suit from 3+ through to teens. I’d love to hear whether the ones from stores like Target and Kmart are OK, or whether I need to look at Vuly or Jump Star or similar, and what to look for/avoid. Thanks :)

Recently we bought an Everfit trampoline

  • We love our kmart one

  • We got our one for the kids coming up to 3 Christmas’s ago and it’s still going strong. It was the 14 foot one from Kmart and only cost about $280 from memory. Everything is still in perfect working order – mats, net, zip etc and my kids are on it all the time – it’s had a really good work out. My kids are 4 and 8 now and often have many friends on it as well as bigger (14-16 y/olds) on it. I would definitely recommend K-mart Trampolines

  • Hope you had success in locating the ‘right’ trampoline for your kids.

  • Thanks very much everyone. We are leaning towards Vuly as we’ve found a store here that sells them and I think they’d be best for teens – especially my daughter who does gymnastics. I will keep an eye on the catalogues and compare all mentioned between now and Christmas (and hope for a sale!)

  • Springfree.. best investment ever!

  • I hear the Jump Star ones are pretty good, I know nothing about trampolines myself.

  • We have a Vuly and it’s fantastic. But that said my son is a terror and has pulled all the net ties off so the net is no longer attached. So whilst we love our Vuly I would suggest if you have destructive kids I would go for a cheaper one – otherwise spend the extra and get a better one.

  • We invested in a spring free and it is without a doubt the best! No sneaky gaps or springs to pinch little fingers and no fear of them falling out!

  • Kmart and Target ones are fine, you could take the net off during winters and this will make it last longer. As for the tramp its self they are fine, we have one and after 4 years still going strong, net has now nearly died but the the tramp is great still.

  • We have bought a great one from Aldi, but they are only on sale once or twice a year. We have had it for 3 years and very reasonable price. Suits our kids from 2 years to 13 years.

  • I’d highly recommend jumpstar trampolines.fantastic products and amazing customer service!cant fault them!

  • I’ve heard great things about Vuly. Check the weight limit of the trampoline as often you’d want an adult and child or two teens on it and some don’t handle that weight. Vuly sometimes have specials where you get a bonus enclosure too.

  • We bought a 12 ft one from Kmart 3 and a half years ago and it’s still going. It is well used by little ones and a teenager. The net has sagged a bit and the legs have gone rusty in places, probably as we live near the sea. Have heard great things about Springfree trampolines and Vuly Trampolines but they are very expensive. I’ll likely purchase another Kmart one when this ones no good.

  • I too am buying a trampoline for Christmas. I will going to Kmart this year. My friend bought hers from kmart about 3 years ago and it’s still in great condition, with 2 girls! I would love to be able to afford a Vuly! But I have also thought about as the kids get older, how often will it be used…I would hate to spend hundreds of dollars for something to be forgotten about in a few years time!
