Hello!

We don’t know the sex of the baby due 1st January, so we are not sure what colour to paint the nursery. What do you think and how early did you get your nursery ready?

  • We rent so can’t do this but if I didn’t know the sex of my baby and could I’d do it baby green.

  • Light yellow and soft green tints

  • White with silver stars

  • We didn’t set up a nursery. We just had a bedroom with all the furniture in. I don’t think not knowing the sex makes much difference, there’s lots of gender neutral colours out there

  • My nursery still isn’t ready and I’m 31 weeks now. But I plan to keep in gender neutral (although we know the gender) and paint one wall grey and put white tree trunk decals that go floor to ceiling

  • Our house was painted off white and we left it at that.

  • We didn’t set up a nursery. Always thought it was an unnecessary expense. You need to buy so much for a baby, we thought our money would be better spent on pram, car seat, nappies etc

  • As I didn’t know the sex of my babies before they were born, the nursery was painted a pale green with white highlights. All clothes were lemon, pale green or white. Even if I knew the sex of my babies before birth, I would probably still go with neutral colours as they could be used for the next and the next children, whether boy or girl

  • We have cream, and then colour with accessories .. teddies, pillows etc

  • Favourite footy team colours.

    !

  • I actually used yellow paint, pale colour and ended up doing whole house, as went with so many other colours

  • I took such delight in planning my tiny nursery.
First child we didn’t know and it was a bright yellow with a baby teddy freeze. The second child we knew and he had the same.
Our third child (surprise to us) we chose not to know and my mum actually waited till we had bubs and grabbed a whole heap of paints that we had in the back shed (all browns and whites) and mixed them together and painted the nursery while I was in hosipital – and I must say I love it – its a nice neutral brown (hard to describe but I love it!)

  • Yellow, blue and green. We didn’t know the sex of the child at that time. It was a girl and she absolutely loved it.

  • white
    yellow
    green
brown and then accentuate with blue or pink
    orange
    aqua
    grey

  • I would just either keep the walls white or maybe a yellow then wait till your child is about 4 years old as they will want to change it to what they want as we have just found out with our son.
we did blue walls (knew it was boy) and put winnie the pooh border around the room, he now wants yellow with cars and trucks lol kids dont you just love them :)
