When I see so many young people with tattoos these days, I can’t help thinking it’s just a fashion that may be regretted by some. I would be so disappointed if my girl got a tattoo as a teenager. Not sure how I could say anything supportive. What about you?

  • The only difference between someone with tattoos and someone without tattoos is that people with tattoos don’t judge people for not having any.

  • I think tattoos can be pretty but they’re only nice on a young and tight skin. Once you become old and wrinkly I don’t think it looks very good.Besides that they quite permanent. If you like it now, chance is you don’t like it with 10 years or so. Of course you can have them removed but that is pretty dear.

  • I did want one when l was in my twenties and so glad l never got one,but each to their own!

  • I hate them, each to there own I guess

  • I think attitudes to tattoos have changed/are changing. Personally, I don’t have a problem with them but if my kids decided to get them I would encourage them to have them where they could be covered up. I never thought I’d consider tattoos but a friend has had her eyebrows done and they look really natural, and I kinda like them!

  • to each their own. i don’t mind them as long as they have a meaning.

  • I got my sons name six weeks after he was born, i was 18. that was 5 years ago and iv’e had another baby since and now really can’t be bothered to get another one but i have to now as i can’t just have one childs name. I think i was just young and wanted to do it and now that i’m older i’m not that interested in them anymore. My sister has about 6 and said she wanted another i told her it is going a bit far but she doesn’t think so, yet i think they make her look less attractive.

  • I like looking at them……on other people! I think when they have them on their face it’s a bit too much. Both my kids have tattoos, small tasteful ones that have a meaning for them. Myself, can’t see me wanting one. Having said thst,my mum was 80+ when she got her first tatt :/

  • I don’t like them, I don’t know why! :-)

  • I have seen all ages with tattoos – times have changed!

  • I’m personally not a fan of them – I would discourage my children before they became adults and could make their own decisions.

  • Personal choice for every individual and I look back at some of my fashions with laughter and not regret! :) I have seen some tattoos and they are quite beautiful and the stigma around tattoos seems to have changed. I have seen tattoos on people of every age and once kids are eighteen they are adults and have the right to choose what suits them. I would be supportive of their choice.

  • I got my first tattoo at 16 (and fainted between the legs of a hairy biker….not a good look) and have been collecting ever since. I’m now 45 and most are out of visibility so they haven’t affected my career. My 19 year old daughter and I recently got matching pink mother/daughter tattoos. I have no regrets but still haven’t told my mum that I’m tattooed as she would “die with her leg in the air” hahaha
