Hello!

About to have baby no 3 and we need a bigger car, one that can fit three child restraints across the back and has a decent amount of leg room as our boys are already tall for their ages and hubby is over 6 feet tall.

  • I can’t recommend a specific make or model as I’m not that clued in with cars. But you would definitely need a big car for lots of room. Good luck cos the bigger they are, the more they cost :/

  • Second the MAzda 6!

  • get a large svu for space. look around and see what will suit you best :)

  • We have a Mazda 6 and a Ford Territory. both are roomy but the Territory is fantastic!

  • We have a Ford Territory and it is so roomy, we have to upgrade to a 7 seater next year (having baby No.4) and are tossing up between another Ford Territory or a Nissan Panthfinder as I want plenty of space for the kids plus decent boot room.

  • We went through the car searching before having baby #3 too, and the best we could find for fitting in car restraints (we had rather large seats too) was a Ford Territory. We love our car. It has 7 seats so when having to take extra family members or friends we still have room, and when not in use they fold away nicely to give enough boot space for 3 kids bikes (one with training wheels) as well as a stroller.

  • A good tip is for everyone to go and test out cars with everyone that will be in the car, including car seats and prams. It will give you ideas about space.

  • I have a kia carnival, its great for let room for the front and back seat passengers… it fits three car seat across the middle row of the car, with heaps of storage space in the back of the car or another row of seats if needed.

  • Not too sure about the 3 car seats, but as for leg room, we recently purchased a Mazda5 and find its has heaps for keg room in the back (without needing to compromise on leg room in the front).
