Hello!

Should I invite the whole class or just a few? How to avoid disappointment!

  • Invite who your child wants to invite depending on how large you want the party. If there was only a child or two that weren’t invited I would invite them and explain to my child why I was inviting them. We used to have a limit on how many children were invited.

  • Depends on location and budget. If you want a big one, have the space and can afford it (as well as manage that many kids high on sugar) then invite them all :-)

  • Invite how many people you can afford or ask your child who they want to come.

  • Good to know! There really interesting comments on this!

  • Invite only who your child wants, keep it subtle. The primary school may have rules about this but the kindergarten may not.

  • I would say just a a few close family friends who may or may not be part of your kindy friends. Don’t get caught up in the hype.

  • With my two when they were in Kindy we had the whole class but once they hit year 1 then we started to drop the number down. It also depend on you child as well and how they get on with all the kids.

  • If you can afford it the class. I’ve been the mum who was 1 of 2 not invited. Nasty as it wasn’t money based, and the kids while not besties got along as well as many others invited. No issue between mothers either was odd.

  • A friend of mine invited the whole class and only 1 turned up. I would just take cupcakes to the school and just let the child invite the friends he/she wants to there party.

  • I would let me child choose 2 of his closest friends

  • If it was me I would invite the whole class as I would find it too sad to the other children especially when they are in kindy.

  • there are some good comments here

  • All depends on your budget, just pick 6 or so if you want to keep costs down.

  • Take a cupcake stand to kindy – if this is allowed – so everyone can join in and then have just the special playmates over for a little private party later.

  • Hope the party went well.
