Hello!

My 10 week old is a great self settler when swaddled tight. I am worried how she will go when I can no longer swaddle her. What did other mum’s do?

  • A grow bag or sleeping tog may be a good next step :)

  • Our son loved it but then started not liking it as much so we just made sure he was warm enough each night in what we dressed him in

  • None of ours were swaddled. If we didn’t that right from birth they would struggle to get their arms free until they absolutely exhausted themselves. After that we just wrapped them in a baby blanket and they always went straight to sleep.

  • Hope it was a smooth swap over for you. I was surprised how quickly they change

  • They do adapt! you could use a grow bag or similar sleeping bag

  • Hope she went okay when you stopped the swaddling

  • how did it end up?

  • How did she go without swaddling?

  • It is amazing how they adjust – just enjoy the moment with your little one

  • hopefully you don’t have to worry about that yet

  • I swaddled my baby until 12 months old so good luck for when the time comes

  • Some good advice below – hope it has helped.

  • By then she will be a lot more comfortable with her surroundings, don’t worry.

  • You could put her in a sleeping bag and tuck her in with a blanket tightly

  • I wrapped my babies to about 6 months, you will know when to stop.
