Hello!

I would like to know with thick, long, dark hair to get it straight what would people suggest?

Chemical Straighten
Flat Irons/straightener
OR
New Straightening Brush (if this one which would be best for me??)

Thanks very much

  • I would go for a straightening brush as they are less harmful for your hair.

  • A GHD is the best straighter to buy but pricey!

  • invest in a ghd. i have very thick hair and it works wonders!

  • I’ve used a straightner which is good if you have a lot of kinks and curls as the heat will make it smooth more easily . I’ve already got fine hair and sliding it from top to bottom ensures the ends are straight as well.

  • I have been told that the straightening brushes are very good and nice and light to use. The brand that has got good ratings is Dafni. If you have a look at this site you will see various reviews of brushes http://www.stylecraze.com/articles/best-hair-straightening-brushes/

  • A good quality straightener should do the trick but I would also suggest talking to your hairdresser as they may also recommend a product to put in your hair prior to straightening to retain the heath and also make it easier to straighten
