Hello!

We are going camping for a week. We will be in a tent, in a camping ground, at an unpowered site. There is a communal kitchen that we can use. What camping ‘must haves’ do you think we need to take ?

  • Cans of food, pots, portable everything.

  • Somthing tid cook on somthing to eat and water proof matches and a torch

  • Definitely a set of cards and some board games to keep kids from getting board. Books to read, good walking shoes so you can go bush walking as there is always something to see. A good torch is absolutely essential and extra blankets because it can get pretty cold at night even if in a tent and sleeping bag.

  • It kinda depends on how hard core you are camping! The suggestion below is a good idea – google a checklist and see what appeals to you!

  • a torch is a must and if battery operated plenty of batteries. An eski as well for food and drink and plenty of ziplock bags for when you open things and need to put them in the esky for cooling.

  • I’d google the answer to this one to ensure you don’t forget anything.

  • The obvious things , cups, plates Etc One good sized frying pan ( you can cook alot of different things in that. A 3 section saucepan would also come in handy. Basic utensils. A good lantern and torches.
    Have fun !

  • Check out my tips in previous posts and also take a look around camping stores – they have some great ideas and often display camping sites – so you can see the set up of a tent and everything else for a camping site set up.

  • Decide what you want if you’re going to be cooking heaps make sure you have the utensils etc to make this easier if you plan on eating out don’t worry so much. I recommend covering off on the weather so that you don’t get caught out and take a comfortable pillow.

  • I have answered this question in some other posts. If you have a quick search you will find the answers. I left a lot of tips as we are keen campers. Planning and organisation before the camping trip is the biggest and best tip. Have fun!
