  • Personally I think moving is emotionally and physically stressful. Depends on how much help you have with packing & moving and what you have done by professionals.
Mind you, packing with toddlers around isn’t easy either

  • Moving is so stressful at the best of times. I guess it depends on why you want to move. If you don’t have to move house whilst pregnant I would probably wait.

  • I’d move before the baby arrives so you can get settled.

  • There is no perfect time! If you can, I’d probably move before the new baby comes along. Get settled.

  • I want to say dont at all, but if you have to ASAP so you don’t have to worry about it for too long

  • Do it asap so once you have the new place you can nest

  • It’s never going to be easy when pregnant but probably best before the baby comes. Just get lots of help.

  • I don’t think there is ever a good time to move houses? It’s a very stressful task. I would suggest before baby 2 arrives however that doesn’t give you a lot of time!

  • Packing lighter and smaller loads is often easier on everyone if packing and moving without professional movers. If you have professional movers then the job should be easier.

  • In your case the sooner the better. The last thing you need to be doing is move when you have a new bub. Just make sure you take it easy!

  • Not sure if there is a ever a perfect time to move house! Getting organised and getting lots of help with moving is a good idea.

  • I moved house in between school years in order to not disrupt my child’s schooling. That’s not a factor in your case, so I would say move house when you absolutely have to and get lots and lots of help.

  • Oh my gosh, is there ever a good time to move house?!

  • Probably before you’re due with your second, because having a newborn and a two year old will keep your hands bound for a while.
Get as much help as you can and use a moving company who can help you with packing.

  • If your house is ready or you find one soon, it may be your only opportunity for a suitable one.
You are going to need help. If you can pack all the light stuff you aren’t using. Hopefully you can put the boxes where they will be staying before putting things in them. Don’t forget to label what room they are for…and what they are. Those that had to go into the rooms straight away I marked with a large *. The rest went into the enclosed lock-up carport/garage and were unpacked gradually. You need space to move about safely in rooms while you are packing and unpacking. Get help packing (and unpacking) heavy items. Do not put yourselves at risk by trying to do it yourself. I would not try to do it in hot weather if you can avoid it. Dehydration is a much higher risk then.
