Hello!

When id the best time for a baby to start wearing shoes, before they start walking or after? Just been told two different things, and I’m not sure if I should try to get my girl to wear shoes now before she is walking to get her used to them, or once she is walking so I don’t delay?

  • You’ll need to buy your baby her first shoes when she is confidently walking around on her own, and walking outdoors. Only put her in shoes when she’s walking outside. While your baby is learning to walk around the house, let her go barefoot.

  • I dont agree with shoes before they can walk. You want your baby’s feet to develop naturally. soft soled shoes are recommended by podiatrists until age 2. My son is 18 months and he doesnt often wear shoes. i buy ones with very flexible soles (hes still in size 4/5) now that he is walking.
