We traveled to the Netherlands, Northern Ireland and Africa in 2018 to visit family but see that as a holiday, the holiday to Europe prior to that was in 2012. We live in Australia since 2009 and have been once away for a weekend besides that. So not many times.

I’m happy to say we’ve been on a couple of short holidays since this post. Hopefully more in future

last year. we try to get away once a year or so.

Our last holiday was in June, we went to Melbourne for the first time as I had gotten really great cheap airfares.

Opening a savings account just for a holiday helps with costs.

Every year – even if it is a camping trip. Good for everybody to get away and recharge!

We went to Albany, here in WA, last summer, for 6 days. It was really nice but quite chilly for my taste. The year before we just managed 4 days in a farm here in WA. I hope we will be able to go away for a week again in January.

We don’t have very many at all – what with fitting in around extended family events, school and work commitments. Last one was booked for a farm stay but then got cancelled due to redundancy. Previous to that, about 5 years ago to Sydney – loved it!

Last, and only family holiday, we had was back in June 2009. We all went to Wagga Wagga for my sons army March out. We went for 10 days and had an absolute blast! Best time of my life! (Nearly, after having kids of course)
