I would first try the ones from the chemist, they may not be comfortable for all but they may for your son..you never know till you try. When your experience isn’t positive with that you can always have dome properly fitted.

A dental technician would be my first choice.

First year we got them from the chemist and they were fine. But our dentist had a deal this year that if you have health insurance they covered the gap so we got them for free. Was great for my 6 yo but my 8yo had new teeth growing in up top so it didn’t fit after that.

Probably go to the dentist to get a proper fitting one if hes serious about sport. How old is he? The older he is the more rough physical contact there’d be I guess
