  • Local playgroups or regular activities at the library or pool.

  • My 2 year old is now best friends with a boy he met at playgroup. I became friends with the mum too which is awesome for me. Playgroups are a great option. Sports class, music class, play centres…all great options. Story time at the library.

  • If your child is pretty active there is kinder gym in some areas. I don’t know at what age they can start though. Check community notice boards at shopping centres, local council offices etc. Some places such as YMCA and other community places have activities for young children – I don’t know minimum ages for them. If you live where you get a free weekly paper you may find some of interest in it. Some have a list of both regular and occasional activities. You may find some that are free too. The only other thing I can think of is daycare. Toddlers certainly interact with others and become friends with some. It depends which state you live in how expensive it is. I know for a fact that SA is more expensive than Qld.

  • Ive been taking my daughter to toddler time at our local library. She loves it.
