Hello!

What’s your favourite choice for value and flavour?

My bug’s nearly 12 months and I’m looking at changing up formulas.

  • Blackmores formula has been the best for my baby after trying 3 other brands. But if your baby is almost 12 months old I thought it was safe and recommended to switch to normal cow’s milk and that the toddler formulations are a waste of money??

  • We use s26 gold.

Having said that it depends on the reason why you want to change formulas? From 12 months bubs can have cows milk and formula is not a necessity of bubs food is a good balanced diet.

  • I only breastfed my daughter one day and my son one month so practically both lived on formula milk on the famous brand S26 . There is one particular one that is standard which was recommended at the hospital, but if your baby is a premmie or needs a boost there is another one with more nutrients. It is really best to go back to the Childhood Centre and ask them for advice before changing formulas as babies are at a crucial stage for nourishment . I used to ring them up if I had any concerns and they childhood nurses were a great source of advice during the growing up years . Big thank you to them all .

  • S26 Gold

  • Belamys, great price and organic. Taste similar to breast milk

  • There are so many kinds of formula. S26 gold was a choice we choose.

  • bellamy’s is a great product in my opinion

  • I was forced to use formula at 5.5 weeks, the hospital dietician said to buy the cheapest brand and keep rotating so baby would get used of different tastes.

  • Straight to cows milk! I’ve been told by doctors that the formula for over 1yo is a waste of money. They should be getting their needs met by solids by then. Unless your Bub isn’t doing well with solids, or isn’t gaining weight steadily…I’d go straight to cows milk and dodge bottles and formula all together.

    All the best x

  • yeeah I know. prefer to give them formula, more good stuff I think?

  • They usually go to cows milk and water at 12 months. Might be worth waiting and skipping formula altogethwe itwill save you money

  • that is suppose to read, my boy is nearly 12months old (breast fed only), but would like to weane him. what should I try?
