  • We love Bellamy’s and Biostime. Both organic.

  • I think they are all great they seem to all have key vitamins and minerals I didn’t have a preferred brand as my son seemed to be somewhat allergic to them all

  • Karicare Gold was recommended to us by the maternity hospital staff.

  • Your baby will answer this question so only buy one tin at a time until you find the perfect formula. I tried 3 different brands until I found the perfect one for my baby which is Blackmores.

  • It’s a case of shopping around and finding the one that works best for baby. Not every formula brand is suitable for all babies

  • I really think you need to find the best one for your baby. It’s not a one size fits all kinda thing

  • We used bellamys organic and for us bubs never had an issue

  • Every baby and their tolerance to formula will all be trial and error I’m afraid.
Formulas higher in iron are one of the problematic ones to cause constipation!

My daughter was put on Aptamil Profutura in the NICU and was mix fed until 2 weeks when my supply dropped to nothing and she did have a little reflux in the beginning. We then tried Karicare and she would projectile vomit it all up. We back back to the Aptamil and she has been amazing on it ever since! She poops everyday like she is breastfed and is an awesome happy 6 month old :)
You will most likely need to try a few different ones, just be mindful that its not a cold turkey process when trying different formulas :P
    Good luck!

  • I think they are essentially all the same, my paediatrician said NAN was easier to digest as opposed to S26 but at the end of the day all baby;s are different …

  • Finding out what formula is best for your baby is going to be a lot of trial and error. Each formula can react differently with your baby causing gas, constipation, acid re-flux and all sorts of wonderful things. It took 3 different forumlas before we settled on ours. If you have any concerns consult with your maternal health nurse, describe what is wrong and they can help with suggestions etc.
