Hello!

I have bought one from aquaristic online.

  • We had an aqua one on a stand of the same brand. We started with gold fish (cold water) and had lots of coloured gravel, plants and places for the fish to hide from inquisitive children.

  • Plenty of fresh plants from a pet store helps with keeping the fish and the tank happy.

  • Regardless of the size needed make sure whatever it stands on is sturdy, children can’t climb it and sits on a wide frame, not just long. Otherwise a child can pull it down on him/herself like my little cousin almost did.
It had the next day when I visited, probably to a friend of a friend they didn’t visit.

  • Depends on the amount of fish for the aquarium and also the type of fish?

  • We have a turtle in a tank. Obviously because it is a larger tank we need filtration. It is a great pet! We also have fish in there (until Mr Turtle gets hungry!).

  • Enjoy your fish . A friend of mine had a big one and found later it was too big especially when the fish started dying ( due to overcrowding ) and she hated changing the water all the time . It was amazing though when she had a mixed species of fish and it really did look like the bottom of an ocean . Hope you have fun with it .

  • It depends on what type of fish (cold water, tropical or marine), how much space you have, how involved you want to get etc. You can get really basic ones or go all out and spend a fortune. Fish are very therapeutic

  • From our experience, around 80L is good. If you have something smaller, make sure it has an inbuilt filtration system. We have freshwater tropical fish, so we have a heater as well. To manage the light, we run our light on an external auto timer – no need to remember to turn the lights on and off. Some of our fish are 6plus years old. It may take a while to get things running smoothly (not all fish get along as well as the pet shops say). Have fun and good luck!

  • we have a large freash water tank its so much easier to look after than a salt water one (according to the pet shop workers) as you dont have to monitor the warmth of the water in the tank… When buying the fish the best thing to is ask for advise on care and up keep of the tank.. Goodluck
