Hello!

I am nearly 50. I’ve had acne, the big red gigantic blind cystic acne, since I was 11-12. I’ve had 2 rounds of Roaccutane, one when I was 18 the other was only 2 years ago. Not to mention the countless other treatments over the years. Why am I still getting it?

  • This would be so frustrating. I’m guessing you’ve looked at diet as I’ve heard dairy has a big impact on acne. There are products such as “tbh” (to be honest) creams, charcoal cleansers, face mask purifiers etc that might work for you.

  • So many things can cause acne, it’s such a horrible thing and makes us feel so self conscious I hope you have found a treatment for you.i find I break out when I use make up at all , hormones are out of whack or eat bad foods.

  • See a specialist – it is a terrible thing to go through

  • My daughter has tried everything. Tea tree oil on a wipe tends to help a bit. I’m hoping she’ll grow out of it soon.

  • It’s most likely a hormonal imbalance or something in your diet. Maybe your GP can help you work out the cause.

  • not sure, maybe talk to your doc. i swear by witch hazel. that helped clear mine up.
