As long as she is eating enough to sustain her, I woukdnt be too worried.
Maybe ask her if she is getting pain after dinner.. indegestion? Does dinner have more seasoning? Is she full from afternoon tea? Cut a meal time out and more of a gap between meals?
All the best!
Ask her if it is because she is not hungry or is it because she doesn’t like the food. My kids had their ups and downs and get sick of the same food very easily . My mother in law used to help us look after the kids when they were young and they didn’t have much choice, so they were hungry if they didn’t eat dinner .
This is a really common problem, and I don’t think there’s a surefire answer. We just kept offering nutritious dinners, and our kids eventually outgrew it.
I agree with the majority. It is normal.
If they are getting lots of variety and quantity during the day, then they won’t be nutrient deficient. Encourage them to eat at dinner time too, but reduce the portions.
May just be not hungry i ended up.neesing to.swap.the main meal to lunch as by the time dinner time came my kids were to tired to want and sit down and eat so now its finger food for tea
My daughter is 4 now but from age 3 even now she has issues with eating. She wont eat what the rest of the family eat . I have resorted to leaving fruit platters for her to have during the day if she is hungry she grazes during the day. For dinner i make her a platter of all different things she likes to eat. Mostly olives, ham, cheese, lettuce, capsicum sometimes crackers & yoghurt. I use to get really anxious about her not eating at regular times but i have learnt she will eat when she is hungry . Some kids just dont eat normally – what is normal ?
Thanks yes we all eat together or at least sit together. She knows of she wants to be a leader like her fave Elsa she needs to eat well. She does during the day. Its just the night eating. :/
