Hello!

My kids eat yoghurt like it is going out of fashion, so to save money I thought I might purchase a yoghurt maker. Has anyone else bought one? What are your experiences with them? Which brand did you buy? Thanks

  • Easiyo is tge best home yoghurt maker I know of. Great idea to make your own

  • We love our easiyo, cheap and easy to use

  • we have an easy yo maker and its great, its the satchets you need to be choosey about the hamells?? ones arent too good from my experience

  • I have an Easy-Yo yoghurt maker. They are great. If you search online, you can continue to use it without having to buy their brand of mix, as it is expensive. You can even make it on the stove or in a flask withour buying anything!

  • From the comments of other MoMs it’s sounds like its a bit hit or miss with them. I don’t know if I’d purchase one but I don’t have a gang of yoghurt eating fiends to feed. Perhaps borrow one or look for a used one on Gumtree

  • you can also make yoghurt with out the special maker.

  • thanks for the tip about the slow cooker MUMMANEE

  • See if someone you know has one laying around that you can bowwor for a while :) see if you like it before buying!

  • I’d rather make my own, plus the bonus if saving money

  • We had a couple of different yoghurt makers and yes they are fun for a while but I only eat the diet variety but hubby likes creamy.
In the end we stopped making it as didn’t make what I wanted that tasted nice and he ended up not eating that much after a while either.
So like a lot of other people it ended up in the cupboard.
I just buy what I need and like now.

  • We had the one you can buy in big w and Woolies and loved it. The mixes that match the maker taste better than other brands too

  • I have had the Easiyo yoghurt maker for about 15 years now. It is so simple to use and the yogurt turns out really nice and creamy. Also you can buy many different flavoured satchets to make this yoghurt.

  • Our Easiyo yogurt maker has been brilliant – six years and it’s still going strong. It’s really really easy to use – hard to make a mistake – and you can use different brands of yoghurt mix in it.

  • Sounds like people buy these food makers and they end up in their cupboards. Ask your family and friends and see if they have one you could borrow and try first before you buy one and it ends up in your cupboard too!

  • i meant to say i have the ezi yo and the aldi one and i prefer the aldi one.
I make the natural greek yoghurt in the ezi yo and the flavoured in the aldi one as its a bigger container.
