A new mother who was told her baby looks like ‘a raw chicken’ has vowed to take action against an online prankster.

Shannon Kelly, from Glasgow, was enraged when she discovered a Twitter user had taken a picture of her newborn baby from her account – and put it side by side with a stock photo of a raw chicken carcass, shares Daily Mail.

The picture shows the newborn baby girl wearing a light pink baby grow, with her arms up and legs up. The prankster put the image next to one of a plucked chicken with the caption ‘yer kid looks like a raw chicken pal’.

Mum Shannon discovered the post and sent a series of enraged messages to the unfazed prankster.

In screenshots between the pair, the mum-of-one wrote: ‘Delete your tweet ya horrible f****** w***. Ugly looking b*****d.

‘Think that’s acceptable to do? Her dad’s in London in three weeks. Let’s see what you have to say then ya f****** goon.’

When LorseHatitudes didn’t reply, Shannon wrote: ‘Reporting you to the police for saving pictures of my daughter and posting it on social media.

The troll responded: ‘Reporting you for dressing her like raw food.’

Shannon said: ‘I only saw the post because someone who follows me sent me the tweet via DM.’

‘His tweet has been reported way over 100 times and still not been taken down or suspended yet all my friends who replied to the photo got their twitter deleted within seconds.

‘The whole situation is just horrible and no mother should have to see their daughter get made fun out of over social media.’

  • My 3 nephews all slept with their hands up by their head before they were a week old. None of them would would settle with their arms tucked in. Both of them would wriggle around until they exhausted themselves, sometimes for as long as 1/2 hour. If there arms weren’t wrapped in they would be asleep within 10 minutes of being put in their cots

  • Just another example of why I don’t want to be on social media.

  • Nasty people don’t care about hurting the feelings of others. I can’t understand why they would do such a thing. Just delete and forget. Your baby is beautiful

  • Not a nice prank and totally crossing the lines of privacy and respect.

    • I agree – it is crossing all of those lines and more – would the person that did this act like it in return? I would imagine not!

  • Why would people upload photos of their kids on social media I don’t understand
You’re uploading it for the whole world to see of course you’re going to come across weirdos

  • It’s a bit mean. That baby is adorable, but I can see where the person is coming from. But it’s the cutest little raw chicken I’ve ever seen!

  • This is awful , how can that person call that cute baby a raw chicken?

  • Absolutely disgusting to do this to any parents and certainly not what I see in the photo! I do see a beautiful baby! Surely using an image without permission is illegal?

  • I kinda does look like a raw chicken, I had to do a double take. But it’s not on to make fun of people’s kids online

  • Poor thing. That’s quite a mean comment.
