Australian blogger is being praised for her honesty after sharing a brutal post about sex during pregnancy.

Currently, 30 weeks pregnant, Mel Watts, the mum behind The Modern Mumma Facebook page revealed the reality of having sex while pregnant.

“You know there are some women who thrive when they’re pregnant. They love a bit of loving from the big D and then there’s people like me,” Watts wrote.

She admits she has tried to embrace being “the best sex goddess ever when pregnant: but the reality is quite different.

Mel shares, “You know there are some women who thrive when they’re pregnant. They love a bit of loving from the big D and then there’s people like me. We try. I really think we do. I know how I got in this situation and I promised myself this time would be different.”

I’ll embrace it – I said.
I’ll thrive – I said.
I’ll love him so much more – I said.
I’m going to be the best sex goddess ever when pregnant – I said.

Well here I am.

Beach whaled AF.
Sweaty.
Wearing a liner – not because I’m that kind of wet.
I have a rash on my stomach from stretching skin.
My breasts are weapons they’ll knock anyone out.
Heavy breathing.
My last shaving job was a touch a feel job.
I’m filled with 10 fingers, 10 toes and all sorts of body parts that stick out.

And he’d still happily call me beautiful and sexy. Like what is wrong with this man? I’m at my worst. I’m leaking, I stink, I moan and grown,

I’m hairy and I reckon I’d have more sweat under my titties than he’d have in his gooch on the hottest summers day. And he still wants me.

Maybe he’s one of those people that like this kinda situation? Or maybe he is just an amazing, caring doting and a terrible liar partner of an over emotional stretched pregnant wife. Either way – I’ll keep him.”

Oh god we are totally hearing you on this one Mel! S E X was the last thing on my mind during both pregnancy’s.

Remember Constance Hall’s rise to fame was her post discussing “parent sex”. Pregnancy sex is a whole different ball game!

  • It is an awkward time at best.

  • I didn’t want anything to do with sex while pregnant. I was lucky my husband was very understanding (at least I think he was) or else he was just too scared to try. Didn’t like my responses.

  • I went through fazes. At times I didn’t want to be touched, not even looked at naked. Other times I wasted total opposite :/
