Mums are making gorgeous kids clothes out of Kmart tea towels!

Angela White shared in ‎Kmart Mums Australia how she had got the idea off another group member and just had to share.

The QLD mum shared, “First time poster… please be kind! Thank you to the very creative individual for the idea of turning the Natives Tea Towel into and outfit! Pretty impressed with my newborns new outfit costing a huge $3.”

  • They are adorable. I wish I knew how to sew properly so I could make these.

  • Very clever to all those mums. Wish the tea towels were as pretty in my day – just boring checks and whose child would want to wear them?

  • That’s a very pretty tea towel !
You can use anything and everything for sewing, I’ve used a lot of unusual items myself.

  • I’m not sure that I would dress my child in a tea towel.
Shall we use the curtains next?

  • Ok. These are actually pretty darn cute. Just hope they aren’t fire hazard materials

  • Some tea towels are made from soft materials including”old fashioned” cotton towelling.
These little outfits are beautiful and so practical. Even if some aren’t very pretty they would be very practical around home. Very economical from a finance angle. Little ones grow out of clothing so quickly. In many cases bought baby and toddler clothing is very expensive considering the small amount of material that they made from. In comparison some are more expensive than older childrens’ clothes are.
