A mystery man has offered a $25,000 reward for the return of a mobile phone with hundreds of photos of baby girl Amiyah who sadly passed away.
Dee Windross accidentally left her mobile in a toilet cubicle while she washed her hands at Melbourne’s Chadstone Shopping Centre last month.
Within seconds the phone had disappeared, along with hundreds of photos of her 11-month-old daughter, who died on April 27.
A man, who has chosen to remain anonymous, has offered $25,000 to anyone who turns it in.
“Our son was cared for in the Monash Children’s Hospital Paediatric ICU a few years back in an induced coma and things were touch and go,” the man’s wife said, The Herald Sun reported.
“We have always been endlessly grateful that our son made a full recovery.
“We wanted to make a significant personal offer for the safe return of the photos to help encourage the safe return of the images.”
The grieving parents have been the target of a number of hoaxes, including a fake GoFundMe page and a woman falsely claiming she had the phone.
Jay and Dee are struggling everyday to get through without their baby girl. But thank her for the strength she has given them to keep on going.
